Our Pumpkin Fun

So, a few weeks ago, we decided to go find our pumpkins. We went over to Thanksgiving Point, where they had the biggest pumpkins. So we picked out a few. Then last night, we carved them. I did a skull with crossbones, only part of it broke. His nose broke off. But nonetheless, it still looks good. Ryan carved all the others, there's a smiley face, a bat, and one that was suppose to look like it had been winking, and instead looks drunk. It's still cute though. The kids had a blast. Conner actually got in and touched the seeds, and inside of the pumpkins. The last few years, he'd cry whenever Ryan suggested he do that. And Camden would just get mad that he didn't have a spoon to help dig out with. So, we gave him the scooper thingy, and he had a blast. Chelsea just sat back and watched. It was fun, and they look awesome all lit up. All in all, it was a fun family night.;)

It's a Girl!!!!

We finally had our baby girl. We had her on Thursday the 28th of August. We went in that morning, cause I was having contractions. And then they stopped. We begged the nurse to talk to the dr. and see if we could just induce then, and he agreed. Thank Goodness! After it was all said and done, he was glad he did it, too. I didn't even have to push. She came out all on her own. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz, and was 19 and a half inches long. And that was at two weeks early. Can you imagine if she was on time? Anyway, here are some pix of her, and her brothers and sister. Camden loves to say hi to her. He gets louder and louder, cause she doesn't answer, so he keeps saying it. It cracks me up. He just stares at her, and he's ok as long she doesn't interfere in his "mom time". Anyway, here she is.

About to Pop

So, I thought I would post a few pictures of me before I have my baby. Which is hopefully in the next little while. Nothing like showing the whole world how fat you are, right? Hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them:)

Swimming

This past Saturday, we went to a work party for my mom's work. Where they had swimming and a bbq. It was so much fun for the kids. They got right in the pool, and splashed around. Conner said he was swimming, but pretty much just pushing himself along the bottom of the pool. But he did get brave, and for the first time ever, went down a water slide. He said it was fun, but he wasn't going to go on it again. I was super proud of him, though. I couldn't believe he actually went down. It took me forever to go down a waterslide. I've always hated them. And then Camden saw all the fun they were having, and decided he wanted in. We took him out of the stroller, and he walked right over and tried to climb in the pool unassisted. Good thing my mom was there, she was able to help him get in. He loved it. Just like a big bathtub. Anyway, I just thought I would post some pictures, so you can see how cute they all were.

This was Crazy!

So, right after we moved into our house, I had the kids playing in the basement. Chelsea comes running upstairs and tells me there's a robber in the basement. So, of course, I have to go look, even though I know there isn't one. We go downstairs, and in our window well is some kind of animal. I thought it was a weasel. But after that, I thought, how the heck do I get this thing out of there? It had taken off the screen, and tried to climb out on that, but that didn't work. And so eventually I called animal control, and had them come get it. It turns out it was a mink. Anyway, I took pictures, and there's one really funny one. It's the dirt from the mink, in it's body shape, standing holding his hands out. Anyway, here are some pix so you can see the "robber".

Our Trip to the Dinosaur Museum

So a few weeks ago, we decided to take the kids to a dinosaur museum. It was pretty cool. They had tons of stuff for the kids to do. In one room they had a huge water thing where you could play with trees and mud, and make things, and see how erosion work. They had stuff where you could feel fossils, and other things. You had to guess what you were touching. And they had a little area where they could go in and dig for a dinosaur. Conner loved it. And Camden got into the dig, and was brushing dirt off rocks. We had fun doing all that. Then we saw a 3-d movie about water dinosaurs. Camden really liked the glasses. He wouldn't leave mine alone. He actually laughed at me when I put them on. Anyway, here are some pictures of our day.

Our Day Trip

So, on Tuesday, we went on a trip to Idaho. My kids wanted to ride horse, which I thought was weird, cause they don't go near any animals. They are scared to death of dogs, and let's be honest, horses are just a bit bigger. But when we got to my grandpa's house, the first thing they asked was to see the horses. And the bigger surprise was they actually went near them. Not only that, they got on one. I was pretty impressed. The only one who seemed a little nervous was Camden, and we even got him on. If only for a second. So these are the pictures to prove they rode a horse. The best part was Conner was deathly afraid, so he's basically laying across the horses back. Afterwards, Conner kept asking if he could go back and ride the horse. My poor grandpa was so tired. So instead of riding again, my grandpa let them help feed the horses. I'm just glad they had fun.

My son's fetish

So, I have discovered that my one year old has a shoe fetish. I thought Chelsea's was bad, but not compared to Camdens. Anytime he finds shoes laying around, he tries to put them on. He picks up his foot, and forces it in the shoe. It's quite comical actually. We have a pile of shoes that we went through, and were going to put away cause they are too small, and he sat there and tried on the shoes. He's not particular, he likes any of them. I just watch him and laugh, and he smiles at me. I hope its not a sign of things to come, cause I can only handle one shoe lover at a time, and right now, its me.
