The Polar Express

On Dec. 16, we went on the Polar Express. It was so much fun. This is the third year that we have gone. The kids love it. We drive up to Heber, and ride the train for about an hour and a half. While your on the train, they give you hot chocolate, and chocolate chip cookies. And then they read the Polar Express book. Then you get to the North pole, and see santa. Then the train heads back, and Santa comes around and talks to all the kids. It's fun. I hope that next year Camden will be able to come, cause I think he'll love it. There was a little boy on there that was probably around Camden's age, and towards the end he started having a meltdown. That's when we remembered why we didn't bring him. Anyway, here are a few pix of the kids with Ryan, and then with Santa.

Christmas!

So our Christmas this year was a good one. Santa brought all the kids what they wanted. Even if some of the stuff didn't work;(. Conner got Rock band, which is totally awesome! I love it. He also got a Nintendo DS, and some games to go with it. Chelsea got a Nintendo DS, as well. So there wouldn't be fights over it. And then she got Biscuit, the dog thats suppose to be like a real dog. Which would have been good, if, it had worked. Ryan woke me up at 1:30 am, to get me to help him get it to work. So on Christmas morning, it wouldn't work. We were really upset. We even exchanged it for a different one, and still, nothing. Now she has a littler dog, that works. She loves it more anyway, cause it's more her size. Camden got musical toys. He is a singer, and a dancer, so he was pretty excited. He got Backyardigans DVD's, cause he sings and dances with the songs they sing. Totally cute! And Cambree got a bunch of noisy chewy toys, and a big plaything that she lays on, and plays with. She seems happy with it. I got a few new things, too. Ryan got me an Ipod touch, which Rocks! And a cute new red purse, cause everyone knows how much I love purses. And some perfume. I got him some running shoes, and a coat, and a few movies. All in all it was a pretty good day. We got snowed in, so we didn't go anywhere, and we got to stay home and play rockband. I only wish I had someone older to play rock band with. My kids are cute and all, but I want to win:) Anyway, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everybody. Enjoy the few pictures I have.

Camden Playing the Piano

I figured out how to post video on here. And I was looking through the videos I have, to find cute ones. I came across a really cute one where camden plays the piano. I have to say, he is very musical. He is always singing, and dancing. In nursery on sunday, he even layed his head on my lap, and sang along with the childrens songs they were playing. And in the car, we were listening to Christmas music, and if there was a song he liked, he'd sing it really loud. Which is cute, cause he doesnt' actually talk, he just kind of sings. It's hard to describe, but very cute to listen to. We were listening to a song called "There's something in the Chimney". If only I knew how to post songs. Then you could hear it. Anyway, after the song was over, you knew he liked it, cause he did his little "uhuhuh" thing he does when he wants something. So I turned the song back on, and he started laughing. It's pretty darn cute. But, once again, I am biased, cause i'm his mom. So, here's the video, hope you like it:)

Isn't he just so good? For Christmas, he's getting alot of musical toys. He's gonna have a blast. I can hardly wait.

Chelsea Learns to Ride Her Bike

So, when Conner learned to ride his bike, he was 6 years old, and he taught himself. He didn't want help, cause he was scared he'd fall off, even though Ryan was there right behind him all the way. He was pretty good, too. He'd ride in the backyard down the hill we had back there. So, this summer when Chelsea was learning to ride her bike, he was there to help her. I, of course, didn't get to see it, cause I was working. But, the next day when I didn't have to work, I recorded it. So, I'm gonna try to put the video on here. It's not very clear. I'm not sure why, but you can get the idea. Try to ignore the narrator.:) She sounds funny on the video. Hope you enjoy.

Isn't she good? Okay, so I'm her mom, I'm biased. Oh well. She does ride her bike pretty good.

Our Thanksgiving

So, for Starters, Happy Thanksgiving! I hope everyone had a good one. We had fun. I had alot of people over for dinner, cause we have a new house, and we can fit everyone. :) There was about 17 people here. I was nervous, cause I didn't know if we would have enough food. But no worries, we have TONS of leftovers. So after dinner, we obviously had pie, which was homemade by yours truly. And if I don't say so myself, quite yummy. I'll post a pix of one of my masterpieces, so you all can see it. After that, we all sat around and watched Fred Claus. It was cute. All in all, not a bad day. And just when I thought the day would end, it didn't. My aunt lynnette and her kids, and I all went to the midnight pajama party at the mall. Yep, after my super long day of cooking, and eating, and watching movies, we went and partied most of the night. I couldn't party all night, cause with 4 kids, lets be honest, I couldn't sleep the day away. So, even though I missed out on the 5 am Walmart party, I feel pretty good about staying up til 4, and then spending the day with the kids. I did really want to go to Walmart, but I was worried about Cambree waking up while I was gone, and waking Ryan up in the process. And he had to work all day on Friday, so I wanted to let him sleep. Anyway, all in all, a good day. I also thought I would post a few new pix of the kids, cause Cambree is getting bigger. So, enjoy the pix, and the pie is a homemade razzleberry pie. I heard it was yummy. I haven't had any yet.

Our Halloween Costumes

Ok, so I finally downloaded all my pictures from the last month, which is why my blog has been updated alot today. I have to do it when I have time, and what better time, then when my cute new baby is asleep? And the other kids are all playing. So, I thought I would post our Halloween pictures so you can see what my kids were for halloween. They were cute. In case you can't tell, Camden was Darth Vader, Conner was Anakin Skywalker (for those who know him, thats not much of a surprise), and Chelsea was a ballerina. Cambree was a pumpkin, but she didn't go with us, cause it was too cold. We had a blast. We went with my two aunts, and their kids, and we rode on a hay filled trailer, just in case the kids got tired. Which usually happens. It's the adults who want to keep goin. The kids just want to sleep. :) I'm glad most of you had good Halloweens. Enjoy the pix! Oh, and Darth Vader wasn't with us, he was at Conner's school, but I thought he was super awesome!

Cambree's Blessing

So, the day after Conner got baptized, we blessed Cambree. It was kind of funny. The week before, I had gone in and talked to the ward clerk about blessing her, and filled out all the information they needed. So, I told everyone where to go, and what time. We had most of the same people at the blessing that were at the baptism. And we were all sitting in sacrament, when the bishop called Conner and the little girl who got baptized up on the stand. He congratulated them for their decision, and then was getting ready to have them sit down. Just before he did that, he called them brother and sister Sparks. It was so funny. He then corrected himself by saying they aren't married, they are a little too young for that. Then after that, they forgot they had a baby blessing. They started the sacrament, and we're all sitting there going, what? So, Shelly suggested sending a note up with one of the young men to give to the bishop. And thats what we did. The next thing you see is one of the bishopric running out of the meeting. They get it all figured out, and then announce that we'll stop testimonies at 2:00. So while I was feeding Cambree, everyone in the room, and trust me, there were quite a few women in the room, figured out it was because of me they were stopping testimonies early. Then after the blessing, they asked me stand up. Then we came home, and had yummy food that I had spent the morning preparing. And if I don't say so myself, the food was awesome.:) Here are some pictures of Cambree in her dress, that my mom made for her. It was so pretty.

Conner's Baptism

On Nov. 1st, we baptized Conner. I know, it's been a while since we've done that, but I thought I would post pix of his party afterward. It was a good day. He got baptized at 12:30 in the afternoon, and Ryan did it. We had Ryans parents there, and my brother and sister in law,
Shaun and Sara there. Then we had Shelly, Lynnette, Hailey, Tena and Ben there. They're all from my side. It was nice to have everyone there. It was a good day. Afterwards we came to my house for cake and ice cream and for Conner to open presents. It was also his birthday celebration, cause his birthday was on Halloween. From us, for his baptism present, he got a set of scriptures. He loves them. And from his grandparents, he got some books, and jammies, and a baptism book. My friend, Shelly, got him a cool CTR pin, its a baseball with CTR on it. It was a good day.
